Current project includes installing 500 IBM’s Network Station (NS) to communicate with AS/400, HP UX, Windows NT and Netware worldwide.

Responsibilities include Network Design and Administration of corporate Local and Wide Area Network utilizing ATM, FDDI, 100VG-AnyLAN, 100BaseT, 10BaseT, Token Ring, Bay Networks’ Synoptics series 3000 routers (Cisco AGS+), 3Com Linkbuilder FMS II concentrators, Networth series 3000 and 4000 concentrators, Compaq Prosignia, Proliant and SystemPRO servers, Micropolis RAIDION LTX, Cisco 2503 ISDN, Gandalf ISDN 5250I, and Hewlett Packard Concentrators and Routers. Other responsibilities include providing 24 hours network and applications support for over 20 remote offices. Projects include setting up a Netware Management System to alert alpha pagers on server faults and performance problems 24 hours-a-day. Additional duties include providing as a backup to the Sybase Database Manager. Hardware maintenance duties include two T1’s (DS1), Cray 9501 Series Multiplexer and DCP 4800 Series Rack CSU/DSU, Best Power UPS, and RAID-5 system. Software maintenance duties includes update Netware 3.x and 4.x patches, Microsoft Office Professional v4.3, Conner HSM, and Sybase NLM 4.2.2.

Permanent contract position at Amoco Production Company/Enichem Corp.. Responsibilities include hardware, software, and network support for different platforms. Major projects include, Upgrading all system to Windows 3.x, Mac access to Netware, TCPIP/NFS to Apollo Unix server, documenting networks, evaluating network management software for TR network, implementing new MHS system (Beyond Mail), upgrading to new Attachmate's Extra for Windows to reduce memory consumption by using IPX instead of NetBIOS. Set up workstations to use B&W ODI drivers to access RS/6000 imaging system. Installing Netware for AIX on RS/6000 to test out packet burst mode and imaging system. Other responsibility include consulting LAN/WAN proposal for Paranet.

Responsible for providing hardware, software, and network support to 450 employees. Upgrading system to Windows 3.x. Downsizing five Netware file server to one Netframe NF-300. Install and maintain Lotus Notes/OS2 server on Compaq's SystemPro.
