Contracts Manager
Current- Managing the Contract implementation in terms of contractual correspondence, notices of claim, Claims Management and negotiation with the Engineer & the Client. - Assessment, initiation and preparation of change orders, variations, claims Narratives for additional time and cost - Directing the Project planning Team to identify the delay events, their impact on the critical path, important Design revisions, Networks inspection/ Hand over delays, and Engineer’s instructions time and cost impact and incorporate the same in the Time Impact Analysis carried out to determine the extension of time and additional direct and prolongation costs. Following up the planning team in the updating of the extension of time claims- Liaising with the Technical Office Manager and engineers to identify revisions of Contract design drawings issued by the Engineer. Directing the Technical Office to maintain a log for contract drawings revisions, type and extent of the revision, and transmitting to the Quantities Surveying section the detailed drawings related to the abortive engineering work with cross references to Engineer letters, transmittals and instructions.- Liaising with the PM and construction managers to maintain records of abortive construction work due to design revisions- Directing the quantity survey team to prepare bills of quantities for the revised scope of works to identify variations and new additional items for which we will seek new Contract unit rates.- Chairing/ participating with the Project Director and PM in meetings with Engineer/ Contractor/ Client to discuss variations and negotiate claims.
