- Managing the Contract implementation in terms of contractual correspondence, notices of claim, Claims Management and negotiation with the Engineer & the Client. - Assessment, initiation and preparation of change orders, variations, claims Narratives for additional time and cost - Directing the Project planning Team to identify the delay events, their impact on the critical path, important Design revisions, Networks inspection/ Hand over delays, and Engineer’s instructions time and cost impact and incorporate the same in the Time Impact Analysis carried out to determine the extension of time and additional direct and prolongation costs. Following up the planning team in the updating of the extension of time claims- Liaising with the Technical Office Manager and engineers to identify revisions of Contract design drawings issued by the Engineer. Directing the Technical Office to maintain a log for contract drawings revisions, type and extent of the revision, and transmitting to the Quantities Surveying section the detailed drawings related to the abortive engineering work with cross references to Engineer letters, transmittals and instructions.- Liaising with the PM and construction managers to maintain records of abortive construction work due to design revisions- Directing the quantity survey team to prepare bills of quantities for the revised scope of works to identify variations and new additional items for which we will seek new Contract unit rates.- Chairing/ participating with the Project Director and PM in meetings with Engineer/ Contractor/ Client to discuss variations and negotiate claims.

Boulevard Abdali Project is a prestigious development comprising 8no high standard Hotel furnished apartment buildings, 4 no Offices buildings, a shopping mall on the first two levels and a 20m x 370m paved Spine with tensile fabric tents, piazzas, fountains, trees, serving the shopping mall, and 4 underground levels for 1730 car park and technical spaces. A total of 155,000 m2 built area and 7500 m2 external Promenade and Spine

 As Technical Manager of Al Muhairy General Contracting Co, 1992-2007, supervising a Head Office multidiscipline team of six engineers, planning, QS, quality, material and MEP and four secretarial staff, - Managing for 19 years the tendering, contract review, technical bids including all matters related to implementation strategy, organization, planning and project schedule, procurement, execution statement, quality assurance and control for large tenders for Abu Dhabi Municipality, Public Works Department, Oil Companies and Private Investment Development Companies- Evaluation of client requirements, issuing tender documents and floating technical and commercial bids to vendors and prospective subcontractors for large tenders.- Assessing subcontractors/ vendors pre-qualification files, conducting audits and survey, reviewing vendor’s compliance in order to annually update list of approved ones.- Advising, for the ongoing projects, on the major contractual issues such as EOT claims and variations, managing technical and structural issues, implementation methods, design of temporary works including bridges and tunnels and high rise buildings formwork and chairing site coordination meetings with consultant and subcontractors. I was appointed Quality Management Representative (2002-2007) as I have led the company accreditation to ISO 9001-2000

Assumed the project management then the technical and contractual management of Kuwait City Highways Project including major utilities relocation and construction including a storm water deep tunnel in Mubarak Al Kabeer Street, Storm water, sewer, potable water, electrical, telecommunications, and gaz networks and 15 km highways in Kuwait city,including Mubarak Al Kabeer, Khaled Bin Waleed, Ahmad Al jaber and Jaber Al Mubarak Streets.

 As Area Manager (5 years), managing the contractual aspects of the projects, supervising the Projects Managers interface with the Client, Consultant and subcontractors, allocating daily manpower to the projects and allocating staff, in consultation with the General Manager and Project Manager, reviewing the project program of work and budget with the PM, and submitting it to the General Manager for approval, monitoring the progress of the ongoing projects and chairing weekly progress meetings of the project managers.

Structural Engineer Airport Charles De Gaulles, Roissy-En-France and later at Société Générale d'Entreprises[ siege at Rue du Faubourg St Honoré- Paris. Calculation and structural design of Terminal No 1 pile foundations, vertical structural diaphragms and columns, as well as Gallery Transfer passengers at the Terminal and of a precast concrete girder bridge.
