I am currently Contracts Manager in Tristar Engineering & Construction Abu Dhabi, in charge of the Claims administration of the Company 6 projects.For the last 10 years I exclusively dealt in the present position as Contracts Manager and earlier as Project Director of Boulevard Project Abdali Amman Jordan, with the Contract Administration and Management. This means assessing change orders, variations, claims for EOT and additional costs and value Engineering. I was empowered in my previous employment to issue Engineer’s Determinations on behalf of the Engineer, after due consultation with him. I have a in-depth knowledge of FIDIC type contracts and dealt with a considerable number of claims for EOT or additional expenses as Project Manager/ Consultant representing the Client or as Contract Manager representing the Contractor.My role before 2007 is described in my CV and encompasses supervision of all major fields of civil engineering, including highways and associated bridges and utility projects, buildings and oil & Gas civil projects for over 37 years, as well as reviewing tender documents to assess and clarify Clients requirements, managing the preparation of company large technical bids including the interface with the procurement Manager, planning Team, quality and HSE senior engineers at Head Office, for over 14 years. Meanwhile advising, for the ongoing projects, on the major contractual issues such as EOT claims and variations, managing technical and structural issues, implementation methods, design of temporary works.

Directing the Technical Office to maintain a log for contract drawings revisions, type and extent of the revision, and transmitting to the Quantities Surveying section the detailed drawings related to the abortive engineering work with cross references to Engineer letters, transmittals and instructions.- Liaising with the PM and construction managers to maintain records of abortive construction work due to design revisions- Directing the quantity survey team to prepare bills of quantities for the revised scope of works to identify variations and new additional items for which we will seek new Contract unit rates.- Chairing/ participating with the Project Director and PM in meetings with Engineer/ Contractor/ Client to discuss variations and negotiate claims.
