Managing NHS smoking cessation and weight management services in the Berkshire region

My job role consists of providing 5 main services. I am currently in charge of running the weight management project for adults and children in Slough as well as providing NHS health checks to the local community in various clinics, teaching the Eat4Health Weight Management Programme, running Smoking Cessation clinics as well as FallsFree4Life clinics.

• Managing a multi-purpose leisure centre in collaboration with staff and senior management.
• Recruiting and training staff per operational requirements. Subsequently reviewing probationary periods whilst adhering to personnel policies and employment legislation.
• Key contact for operational compliance; completing audits on various facets of operations and facilitating improvements per company policies and industry standards.
• Designing and facilitating marketing campaigns over various channels including PR and social media. Ensuring the framework of lead management processes are in place to handle subsequent enquiries.
• Continuously evaluating areas of opportunity within marketing plans, the customer journey and promotions which can drive revenue and customer engagement.
• Ensuring all point of sale resonates with marketing and brand guidelines. Upskilling all staff in this area to ensure maximum engagement and additional spend from customers.

• Presenting fitness solutions and providing any additional support or knowledge if required, including nutritional advice.
• Undertaking health assessments, utilising a number of techniques whilst remaining aware of personal goals and mental well-being.
• At all times providing exceptional customer service in line with expectations. Overcoming any concerns raised with tact, diplomacy and knowledge of health and fitness principles.

• Ensure that customers of a popular leisure centre are offered a professional and welcoming service. Working at all times to ensure sales and service targets are met.
• Remaining up to date with membership products using this knowledge to ensure a comprehensive provision for customers with enquiries.
• Responsible for ensuring all point of sale material is correctly placed to support customer engagement and providing any insight to management as to how improvements can be made.
• Handling any customer complaints with service or products with tact and diplomacy and mitigating any further dissatisfaction through concluding in a timely manner.
• Creating new leads through referrals and handling enquiries seamlessly. Reporting on performance to management and providing insight where due.
