Hanif Muljiani’s journey has been anything but conventional. What began as a "cool" decision to pursue a degree in accounting quickly revealed itself to be otherwise. Determined to rise to the challenge, he earned his CA designation and thought, Why not own a business? While some skills were transferable, the venture taught him that entrepreneurship is an entirely different ballgame.Over 20 years as a business owner, Hanif navigated countless lessons, gained invaluable experience, and achieved several milestones. Highlights include being named among the Top 40 Under 40, earning recognition as a Friend of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, persuading President Clinton to speak at a charity event just two months after 9/11, and—on the personal front—getting remarried and caring for his adorable dogs. Eventually, he sold the business, closing a chapter full of growth and discovery.After a brief period of "career exploration" (and realizing he’s not exactly employable—he does have strong opinions, after all), Hanif decided to embrace entrepreneurship once more. He acquired a well-established pasta manufacturing business in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland.Now, he’s fully immersed in the intricacies of large-scale pasta production and thoroughly enjoying the carb-loading! In less than two years, he has led the company to achieve over 25% growth in both revenue and profit while expanding sales across Canada. With a fantastic team by his side, Hanif is excited about the opportunities ahead to further scale the business.When not strategizing at work, Hanif can be found in early-morning "debates" with his dogs about the finer points of strategic execution. (So far, they’ve yet to win a single argument—he is the boss, after all.)
