· Project Managemento Overseeing the execution of three Research Projects. Versed in the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP), I advise my Principal Investigators on the Do’s and Don’ts in research, to ensure that they are fully compliant to the new set of regulations set by the Ministry of Health. o Trained in Clinical Research Coordination, I also provide refresher trainings to my team of Research Coordinators on the proper GCP-compliant research conduct. o Liaise with the Centralised Institutional Review Board (CIRB) to ensure the ethical conduct of research. This runs the gamut from ethics application and amendment of study documents, to the reporting of adverse events/non-compliances/deviations/study progress. · Events Planningo Co-organised meetings, seminars and symposium events targeted at medical and healthcare professionals, the largest being the SingHealth Duke-NUS Blood Cancer Centre (SDBCC) Blood Cancer Symposium which saw an attendance of about 300 participants with 11 local and international speakers. o Oversee the contractual proceedings, liaising with external/overseas speakers/event sponsors, budget planning and logistical requirements prior to the event day. · Grants and Fundingo Coordinate the application process of numerous multi-institution grants totalling up to about SGD 15Mil. o Plan grant budgets with the Principal Investigators to ensure optimal fund utilisation as required for the project.o Manage the expenditure and virements, as well as the grant progress reporting to the relevant funding agencies.

I first applied to do an internship under the supervision of Associate Professor Christoph Winkler. After my internship ended I continued to do my honours thesis with Professor Winkler, where I worked on a research project entitled "The Functional Analysis of Osx/SP7 knock-out in Bone Development in Double Transgenic Oryzias latipes." At the end of the thesis, I established a hypothesis pertaining to the role of the protein in bone formation and its possible association in cartilage development. It was the first documented phenotypic evidence of an SP7 knock-out in medaka fish, providing evidence of the conserved function of the protein in vertebrates.

Taught children aged 4 to 12 Math, Science and Robotics. This was done over my summer holidays. Math and Science were not of particular challenge as I am already well versed in those subjects. Robotics, on the other hand, was something new to me. However, I was able to pick up the necessary skills required in a short period of time in order to be competent enough to teach the children the basics.
