As Team Leader and Communications Manager for the Services for Citizens Division, I get to serve customers such as war veterans, citizens, employees and entrepreneurs related to different types of compensation issues. I am especially thrilled for the genuine service design that we practice in our daily work e.g. related to business cost support concerning covid 19 losses. My duties include managing a team of six experts, brand management, crisis communications, social media and the efficient use of communications tools in general.

The radical changes taking place in working life require extensive learning, development operations, cooperation networks and strategic agility, among other things. The State Treasury provides funding for such development projects and our team provides consultation, networking, tools and best practices related to these. Working conditions at the Finnish government are modern and meaningful.My role is partly in managing and consulting these development projects and partly in marketing and branding worklife services, in particular. My personal interests include collaboration, employee experience, knowledge management, job rotation and employer image.

I am the happy gal who gets to support the digitalization of public purchases, the government key project in Finland that I got familiar with already in my previous role. My first priority in my project assignment at Hansel included sustainability reporting, a project that I delivered above all expectations and ahead of schedule. As a bonus, I established the idea and skills of employee advocacy and more open internal communications practices into the rather traditional world of public procurement.I felt entitled to get to work in significant national projects related to public procurement, digitalization and change management. In this position, I got to combine competence development with marketing communications. To me, that was brand advocacy at its best. Think about the change we are facing in learning and training business where MIF core business lies. Oh the opportunities. Same opportunities can be found in any business thanks to our good friend digitalization. As part of our group level project office, I got to be the driver for several changes taking place in our business related to marketing, competence development and elearning for example - together with my colleagues mostly in Finland and Sweden.Marketing automation and customer-driven content marketing are topics that boosted my daily work. The biggest development project combining these two with user data and experience was our web site renewal and ecommerce.In addition to modern marketing mind-set, I get excited about internal communications and continuous learning. Building efficient learning paths with the help of digitalization and big data offers endless possibilities both for the business and especially for the individual.

I started as Portfolio Manager for communications and digital portfolios and as we were reorganized, I got promoted to Head of Infor Communications training unit - still during my trial period. So yes, our company is quick in making changes. I got to combine the two competence areas dear to me: communications and training. My role was to help our training participants shine in communications and make use of it in their business - and make profitable business out of it for us. Getting to do that in a rather challenging situation and leading our partner network of highly experienced professionals felt like an honor.The biggest achievement in this role was starting the significant change process towards customer-driven brand management. Changes in learning environment require quite a lot of new competences as well. As a result, we noticed that my own competences are better used if focusing on brands - business and personal that is. The short traineeship, part of my teacher studies, taught me the contradictory reality of teachers everyday work. In Haaga-Helia, I took part in two courses: communications in work life and business English (mostly online). Most of my perceptions were related to the importance of internal communications and project management in worklife collaboration.
