By experiencing my internship in an EIPIC center, I was pushed to display quick problem-solving skills and display my ability to manage challenging behaviors in the classroom. I was also exposed to many cooldowns and distraction techniques to manage/ prevent meltdowns displayed by the many professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists...) that have helped me gain new insight towards classroom management. With this experience, I have not only gained new skills but have also gained confidence in tackling challenges that I may face in the early childhood sector.

During my second year of pursuing my diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education, I was once again provided another practicum experience in the preschool setting for a whole month. This time however, as I was more experienced, I was tasked to more hands-on tasks including assisting the senior educators there in conducting their lesson planning or daily routines. I was also tasked to design and conduct 1 Art, 1 Music & Movement and 1 Mathematical lesson plan for my designated classroom consisting of children in the N1 level.

In 2018, in my first year of studying for my diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education, I was provided with a practicum experience that I attempt once per week for 3 months in Learning Vision @ Raffles Place. As I was still new, I was tasked with different observation tasks to learn from my senior educators while also recording certain behaviors children in the preschool exhibits.
