Sr. QA Manager for the Personal Investment (PI) team supporting the eServices, Content Management System, and Investor Center Technology branches. Specific focus on automation in the UI and web services space.

• Leading the Sabre Merchandising Global Test Engineering (GTE) team which consists of twenty-three quality engineers in the US and Poland. The Merchandising work space includes five distinct back-end service product areas: pricing, shopping, merchandising, passenger record, and fulfillment. The current efforts include: Building out an immediate automation testing strategy which covers all five product areas, creating and implementing a long term testing strategy to support the dynamics of five distinct products, and consolidating the testing tools across each product area from five down to three.• Directly managing, leading and building out the Sabre Merchandising, Pricing and Inventory Quality teams totaling more than twenty employees in Poland and the U.S. The products under test consist of service and UI based applications along with data warehouse based applications. The effort has resulted in a more organized and efficient approach to many types of testing such as: Feature function testing, automated regression testing, system integration testing, and end-to-end testing. • Support the roll out of new software automation tools such as Selenium for UI automation and incorporating these tools into an Agile SDLC. The result has been a more flexible automation solution for UI applications in Sabre.• Implementing best practices and procedures for a centralized quality structure which supports multiple platforms and applications. The net result is a consistent approach to metrics and reporting for executive leadership.

• Performing project execution, organization and resourcing of multiple data warehouse initiatives. These include executive reporting, interfacing with third party clients for data extraction, and bug maintenance and enhancements.• Managed and led the execution and delivery of UI Accessibility initiatives for the Travelocity Checkout team. The enhancements to the UI resulted in a greatly enhanced usability experience for sight impaired customers along with working towards certification from the National Federation of the Blind.• Executing projects by incorporation of Agile and Kanban methodologies and shipping products early and often. The net result is lowered risk in the integration environment and delivering minimum marketable features quickly.

• Directly managed, led, evaluated, and developed the Travelocity Checkout and Data Warehouse testing teams totaling 30 employees in three countries (US, Argentina, India). The result was a well communicating, self sufficient, highly skilled global QA team with the ability to efficiently and effectively support all needed areas of Travelocity applications from a UI, data warehouse and service testing perspective.• Implemented quality best practices, quality metrics, quality improvements, and communication standards for major company initiatives including: major partner implementation, site optimization, and major internal infrastructure projects.• Developed and presented automation testing strategies and standards for UI and backend services to be implemented by the Travelocity centralized QA team. The effort generated a winning proposal amongst 3 competitive teams (internal and external) for a company wide automation strategy.

• Led the Merchandising and Data Warehouse QA teams towards common goals, practices, metrics and processes. The endeavor closed the communication gap between the two teams allowing closer collaboration and increased efficiencies.• Applied SQL, JAVA, QTP, and J-Meter knowledge to manual and automated data warehouse testing. The resulting automation eliminated customer unsubscribe failures within Travelocity systems saving Travelocity from potential legal violations.

• Assembled a software quality team for Travelocity’s data warehouse organization from scratch. Included the management of both U.S. based contractors and India based full-time employees. The team quickly became high performing and highly visible as Travelocity had no data warehouse QA team prior to this creation. All standards and practices were built from the ground up specifically tailored to Travelocity’s needs. The team has since installed and governed invaluable quality to the Data Warehouse team and application. • Fully developed and implemented an automated JAVA based test tool for data warehouse regression testing which significantly reduced data warehouse production failures to less than one per year on average due to miss formatted data from the UI.• Developed and implemented testing practices and procedures for data warehouse full life cycle testing which includes: end-to-end, regression, negative impact, functional and integration testing.• Interacted with business and technical customers to drive requirements and acceptance criteria. The interaction made the acceptance testing more meaningful and the end product closer to the customer’s vision.

• Trained Travelocity employees on using HP’s Quick Test Professional (QTP) and Quality Center (QC). The training increased the overall UI automation proficiency level of QA in Travelocity.• Designed software automated tests using QTP and tracked test cases and test lifecycle via QC.• Researched Service Oriented Architecture testing methodologies and tools. The result ensured best practices and scalable tools were used throughout the enterprise.

• Managed a five person team which was responsible for system integration and software development of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) project. The project required integration of four separate software/hardware components developed by four different companies. The end result was a highly successful demonstration which proved interoperability between the four distinct systems. Exceeded customer expectations through budget, schedule, and product.• Executed regression testing on the Mission Battle Management System (MBMS) software. Regression testing included functionality verification of four separate streams of the MBMS baseline. The resulting MBMS will be used as a new baseline for customer demonstrations and future business capture efforts.

• Performed hardware/software integration on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Flight Controls middleware software. The effort resulted in a solid finished product that was delivered 6 months ahead of schedule.• Evaluated many options for a new processor interface module for the upgraded F-16 Digital Flight Controls Computer via extensive trade studies.• Conducted feasibility studies of incorporating the Auto Air Collision Avoidance System into the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Created an MFC GUI to determine how close two aircraft could fly and still avoid potential collisions.• Led testing effort for the MBMS software. Responsibilities as test lead included executing the successful integration and testing of the MBMS product on offsite locations. The resulting software was demonstrated to the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. President as well as several Starred Generals of the United States Armed Forces.

• Designed and implemented automated tests, using C++ programming language, which ensured reliability and performance of Flight Critical Data for an F-16 Operational Flight Program (OFP). The resulting OFP was successfully flown and demonstrated on two F-16 fighter jets.• Performed hardware and software upgrades to an F-16 engineering test station in order to make the station more reliable and efficient.• Analyzed the reliability and accuracy of the F-16 radar. The results where submitted to upper management in order to determine feasibility of integrating new software onto the F-16 platform.
