I think wasted human potential is one of the greatest crimes. We all want to feel useful. Yet, our workplaces rarely provide a truly enabling space to unleash people's talent. Technology and available tools are often rather a distraction than an enablement.I experienced that in my past life working as a management consultant in the banking sector. My once unlimited motivation was dimmed with every overwhelming excel data I had to crunch, a meeting with no agenda, a powerpoint presentation or a compiled report that didn’t add any value to the project, but “had to be ticked off”, but worst of all - things that someone else in the company has already done but I had no idea they existed. And while no technology can change a bad management, it can support people in making smarter decisions, when there is a clear vision. And to get a clear vision you need data. Data that you can link to gather knowledge, see patterns, reduce uncertainty and take informed actions. Technology should enable us to work more independently, letting us draw freely from each other's expertise. Bring solutions backed by data, instead of generating more questions. That's why I co-founded Untrite to support others, by giving them the visibility across their data - and ultimately help making intelligent decisions.
