I use my three decades of experience in chemical, automotive and electronics R&D, general management, business building and industrial design to drive the development, industrialization and commercialization of sustainable and differentiated technology and innovation as well as spearheading organizational transformation and true integration of material ESG (environmental, social, and governance) at the core of our corporate strategy. as the Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer (CTO/CSO) of Trinseo. As a company officer and member of Trinseo’s executive leadership team, I work with my teams around the world (11 R&D sites, sustainable materials business- and corporate teams), to drive sustainable profitable growth by setting the company’s vision and strategy for transformational technologies and meeting unfilled customer needs across Trinseo’s innovation pillars, as well as the execution, commercialization and launch of new technologies and products. I have lived, studied, and worked in the Netherlands, USA, Germany, the UK, and Italy, and spent much time in China over the past two decades. Together with my teams around the world, we have launched numerous new products and technologies and received many prestigious industry awards since 1990: IF - IDSA - Red Dot - Center of Automotive Management - Automotive News PACE Awards - Automotive Brand Contest - Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award.
