I studied biological chemistry at the University of Toronto Scarborough where I earned both a CSC silver medal for earning the highest marks in the program, as well as an honors bachelors of science degree. In my undergraduate studies, I was a research assistant to Dr. Alen Hadzovic on the synthesis of Rhenium and Ruthenium complexes and their characterization. I recently completed my Ph.D degree in chemistry at the University of Toronto, where I earned the Ontario Graduate Scholarship 3 times, the DPES TA award, and the UTSC Graduate TA award. My Ph.D research was with Dr. Xiao-An Zhang on Manganese(III)-porphyrin based MRI contrast agents.
