I specialise in advising charities and individuals on private wealth disputes, with a focus on bringing clarity to complex and emotionally challenging legal issues.I regularly advise clients in relation to claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, challenges to the validity of a Will on the basis of undue influence, lack of knowledge and approval, capacity issues, rectification, revocation and interpretation.I also advise clients in relation to funeral and burial disputes, trustee/executor beneficiary disputes and disputes under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA).I advise clients on a range of Mental Capacity matters, including attorneyships and deputyships, statutory Will applications, and applications to remove an attorney or deputy.I am a STEP affiliate member and member of the STEP Bristol Branch committee.
