CurrentPiccoma app generated approximately $519 million in revenue in Japan, becoming the top-performing manga app in the country in 2022. With the success of Japanese market, the company decided to open up a branch in Japan. I joined the Piccoma Europe to help them with the overall strategy.Key Responsibility- Oversee the development and implementation of Piccoma, both WEB/APP- Spearheaded the overall strategy and operations for Piccoma in the European market, driving its transformation into the leading manga platform in the EU.- Partnered with the CEO to develop a five-year strategic growth plan, targeting a doubling of the business size within the EU.- Directed performance marketing strategies to optimize user acquisition and retention, leveraging advanced campaign performance analysis across digital platforms.- Oversaw the design and launch of new content, ensuring alignment with market trends and user preferences.- Enhanced app UI/UX, improving customer satisfaction and engagement through cross-functional collaboration.- Lead, mentor, and develop the digital platforms team to achieve high performance.- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.Key Outcomes:- After 2 years of launching in 2022, reached #2 in the EU Market.- Quantitative Growth Over One Year: Expanded the catalog to over 1,000 titles by introducing a diverse range of webtoons and manga. The platform grew into a healthy ecosystem with over millions of subscribers enjoying millions of views per month.- Partnerships: Collaborated with major publishers to provide a superior reading experience optimized for mobile, resulting in increased transaction volumes - Digital Distribution: Introduced previously unavailable titles to French audiences, connecting them with content for the first time through Piccoma.
