    The Impact of a Hand Hygiene Film on Healthcare Workers Hand Hygiene at Ndola Central Hospital in Ndola, ZambiaI designed and executed a mixed methods research project that explored the impact of a hand hygiene training film on the healthcare workers’ hand hygiene at Ndola Central Hospital in Ndola, Zambia. This project had a quasi-experimental study design with pre- and post-intervention questionnaires and qualitative interviews to explore the healthcare workers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices of hand hygiene. My responsibilities included: distribute and collect pre- and post-film questionnaires to 650 healthcare workers, conduct semi-constructive interviews with 40 healthcare workers, observe and analyze the hospital's infection control procedures, organize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, write manuscript, and act as liaison between Ndola Central Hospital and Guys' and St. Thomas Hospital in London, England. This project gave me the opportunity to further develop and apply my communication, research, analytical, organizational and management skills toward a global health patient safety and infection control initiative in a low-income country.
