I am a QCHP licensed Speech Language Pathologist with recent work experience as Speech Language Pathologist and Head if the Department with the Leo Kanner Center for Educational Therapy in Qatar from November 1, 2021 to 10th March 2024. My academic foundation was laid with a post-graduate degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, acquired from esteemed institutions in India. My professional growth is evident through my extensive training in OPT (Oral Placement Therapy), PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), the PROMPT technique, Natural Language Acquisition, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) for Gestalt Language Processors, and Avaz certification. My competencies are multifaceted. Proficiency characterizes my ability to assess and intervene effectively in childhood speech and language impairments. I possess specialized knowledge in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), to provide critical support to individuals with communication needs. Furthermore, I am adept at addressing literacy disorders and adult dysphagia.I have been predominantly working with the paediatric population, where I excel in the assessment and diagnosis of children facing speech, language, communication and literacy disorders. My commitment to individualized care is reflected in my adeptness at developing and implementing tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for both individual and group settings. I have been in the core team dedicated to the development of culturally specific phonological disorder assessments attests to my research acumen. I have conducted extensive research in the development of macrostructural narratives in children. Additionally, I was involved in a review of systematic review on maternal and child health addresses the crucial public health issues. Notably, I have disseminated my research findings through the publication of three research papers in esteemed international journals.I remain steadfast in my commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children with special needs and their families. I continuously seek to update and apply my clinical and research expertise, ensuring the delivery of superior services. I am fervently enthusiastic about expanding my professional network by fostering collaborations with Speech-Language Pathologists and other experts on a global scale. My ultimate aim is to advocate for and recommend the multidisciplinary services necessary for the holistic development and well being of children with special needs.
