Coffman Collaborative is West Virginia's leading strategic governmental affairs and public relations firm in the energy, transportation, and manufacturing sectors in the Appalachian Region. We use a comprehensive approach to strategic communications implementation to create concise results in legislative action and public relations.

This internship was a partnered role between Hanesbrands and Sustainable Carolina at UNC Chapel Hill. For Hanesbrands, I launched a "cold water wash" social marketing campaign piloted at UNC-CH. I also produced a playbook for other universities to launch similar social marketing campaigns for sustainability. It includes market and consumer research, findings reports, communications tools, marketing strategies, and more. - Conducted consumer and market research- Analyzed data to strategize messaging and communications opportunities/gaps- Collaborated with internal teams and stakeholders at Hanesbrands and UNC departments to organize cross-functional projects for the campaign - Produced multi-media content including newsletters, blogs, podcast, promotion materials for events, press release pitches, etc.

The Sustainable Triangle Field Site provides an experiential curriculum for a selected cohort in urban planning and environmental solutions. The interactions and work with community climate leaders, as well as research on green infrastructure on UNC-CH's campus, equipped me with skills in stakeholder/client interaction, data collection, research translation, and project management. - Translated findings of capstone research project on green roofs and regenerative stormwater conveyance into Sustainability Report used by Town of Chapel Hill.

Collaborated with a student production team at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media to produce and publish an environmental science documentary on the invasive spotted lantern fly on PBS SciNC. -Pitched content to PBS SciNC- Conducted research and outreach on the invasive species and its impacted parties- Led interviews for production- Collaborated on scriptwriting, video editing, and other video production tasks

Frontline communicator to incoming families and students at the university.- Developed internal presentations, trained new staff, conducted leadership development seminars

- University representative who mentored 400+ new students and families during their transition to UNC-CH over the course of two summers and proceeding fall semesters - Presented in Q&A panels, facilitated diversity and inclusion sessions, and hosted webinars - Received training on conflict management, inclusive language, and personal leadership skills.

Self-start communication tools to connect stakeholders in the nonprofit and extend outreach.
