I was selected from a highly competitive pool of college graduates to address Israel’s educational achievement gap and the widespread underperformance of youth in low-income communities. I was then placed in a city home to a large Arab population and gained experience working within a cross section of Israeli society. I provided 25 hours a week of intensive small group learning opportunities and one-on- one assistance. Additionally, I spent 5 hours a week volunteering at the local community center.

Accepted into a highly selective AmeriCorps program (25% acceptance rate) to dedicate one year of service to a low-income public middle school of over 500 students (80% qualify for free/reduced lunch), focused on increasing student attendance, decreasing behavior altercations, and improving academic course performance. Hold tutoring sessions, 2 times per day, 3 days per week.
