I conducted my thesis research on climate change adaptation options in Palau, using household surveys and discrete choice experiment (DCE) methodology to value ecosystem services in a small community. The research is part of a greater study spearheaded by The Nature Conservancy and numerous other organizations titled 'Building the Resilience of Communities and their Ecosystems to the Impacts of Climate Change' which is focusing on small island developing states in the Pacific region. The Master Environment and Resource Management (ERM) is designed to train the next generation of environmental decision-makers to work on the sustainability challenges of our time.
