I've forged a career around the arts, from my time in the publishing industry, through to more recent marketing and operations management roles supporting arts and education charities inc. event management, administration, finance and HR. A recent success was the organisation and delivery of a fundraising evening showcase for Arts Derbyshire. I deliver freelance projects including data mapping for a creative coalition, and as associate Research Manager (Heritage Projects) with The Fifth Sector. Alongside these roles I continue to develop the letterpress studio and art gallery I co-founded with husband Chris in 2013. I am the founder of Derby Social (prev. Creative Connections est. 2017), which acts as a signpost to cultural activities within the city, with ambitions to develop it further.I welcome enquiries around cultural sector data / research / mapping, copywriting, sub editing, proofreading, report writing, event management, WordPress content creation and website management, and illustration (specialising in print and pen and ink line drawings).About the studioSince 2013, The Smallprint Co. has offered a bespoke letterpress print and design service, working on vintage presses using traditional metal and wood type. Small letterpress / digital print runs are our forte allowing us to develop highly creative and unique briefs: with our fine art and commercial print and design backgrounds, we take unusual briefs in our stride.We're a 360° studio, from design to print to finishing, and making clients smile is our goal. Working with clients we produce artwork, using our specialist knowledge to advise on everything, from the right process, to sourcing the right materials, to meeting the brief and the budget. Wedding and event stationery is a huge part of the business offering alongside business and personal stationery, limited edition cards and prints. We host regular workshops including Company Away Days and one-to-ones on or off-site with our trusty travelling press. We also provide talks and demonstrations about the 500 year old heritage craft.
