Lecturer in Ballet at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, working with the next generation of Contemporary Dance Artists. Director and Co-Founder of The Ballet Retreat, bespoke high quality ballet intensives for adult dance enthusiasts and former Principal Soloist ballet dancer with over 19 years professional dance experience.I am experienced in developing, launching and running a successful start up business. I am skilled in producing a variety of projects with the performing arts including film for dance, company management, crowd funding and fundraising gala's. I started my professional life performing for The Israel Ballet, Tel Aviv and went on to work for Northern Ballet. I have performed extensively in the UK, China, Thailand and Europe. I have also collaborated and performed at MOMA Paris, Hepworth Wakefield Gallery, Tate St Ives, Frieze Art Fair, Sadlers Wells and the Royal Opera House.During my time as a professional dancer I sought out opportunity for CPD and have been selected for various mentoring and Leadership training programmes. I co-choreographed and directed 'The Three Little Pigs' a ballet for children, which went on to be nominated for a Childrens Bafta in 2014. I am passionate about Ballet, Dance, Art and Theatre, its continued success and place in our communities. I have guest taught at Northern Ballet and the Academy of Northern Ballet, Moorland International Ballet School and Yorkshire Ballet Seminars. I am Garuda Mat and Barre certified and currently studying for my Fully Comprehensive Polestar Pilates qualification in my spare time. I believe in the many benefits that dance gives us and my work with NSCD and The Ballet Retreat allows me stay connected to the dance community and continue to play a part in supporting it.
