I worked in collaboration with Victorian Counselling and Psychological Services (VCPS) of Melbourne, AU for fulfillment of the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP) at WPI. I worked with a team of three other students to help VCPS develop and advertise "Chinwag." Chinwag is a telepsychology service offered by VCPS to people living in regional areas of Australia, as a means to increase access to psychological services. I surveyed and interviewed residents in such areas, gaining feedback of the best ways to increase awareness of the service and how influential it might be for the target audience. I also interviewed health professionals in regional areas and practitioners of VCPS, essentially acting as saleswoman for the service: introducing it, answering questions, and asking for feedback about it. Chinwag was made available and several large hospitals and practices from the areas my team visited showed interest in the service prior to my returning to the US. My team effectively developed and published the Chinwag website, made social media profiles to promote the service, created an information video about the service directed towards health professionals, and created a report for VCPS to demonstrate the results of our surveys and interviews to VCPS's management team and the Chinwag development team.

I performed daily care of horses, including feeding, medicating, watering, grooming, exercising, turning out, cleaning tack, and cleaning stalls. I was the head groom for my bosses at top-rated regional breed and open horse shows, preparing the horses for exercise and competition, then taking care of them and putting them away afterwards. I loaded trailers prior to shows, then set up the barn's decorations/ drapes and helped owners/ riders/ handlers prepare for their performances at shows.

I worked in the operating rooms at Samaritan Hospital, turning over anesthesia machines/ equipment, helping CRNA's and anesthesiologists, stocking anesthesia carts/ cabinets throughout the hospital, stocking the anesthesia pharmacy cart, placing supply orders, positioning patients, and helping during emergencies, such as bringing the crash cart, setting up A-lines, etc. I worked with adult and pediatric equipment.
