I am a well-organised, strongly self-motivated candidate who loves working as part of a team and taking on responsibility. Studying at the University of Reading, I completed an Animal Science with Industrial Training degree, graduating with upper second class (2:1) honours. During my studies, I enjoyed modules in animal growth, lactation and reproduction, canine & feline science and digestion & nutrition. In my third year, I completed a professional placement at Celia Hammond Animal Trust which has given me great experience of working as part of a team and co-operating with others to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively. Joining Medivet in April 2021, I initially worked as a Patient Care Assistant where I expanded my animal handling skills and developed strong client relationships. In April 2022, I progressed into a Student Veterinary Nurse position with the College of Animal Welfare, with responsibilities including nurse consultations with clients and monitoring anaesthetics. From my academic & professional experience, I have developed an excellent knowledge of the veterinary industry, animal nutrition and behaviour.
