"A Brief History of Cabaret" is a trilogy of cabaret shows that we due to be performed in April, May and June of 2020.The shows would go through the history from early theatre, to music hall and up to modern day, including drag, burlesque, magic and more!I wrote the show and was due to be the emcee. I also cast guest acts to help illustrate the history in a fun, fast paced way! As producer, my job was to also promote, budget and liaise with the venue.

It may not be the usual formula for a Broadway hit, but Sondheim’s score was a sensation. Audiences found that watching the story rolls back 20 years in the life of Hollywood producer, Franklin Shepherd, oddly compelling and how happy he once was as the talented but penniless Broadway composer. Merrily We Roll Along dazzles as a piece of theatre craftsmanship and is now considered one of Sondheim’s most startling and affecting achievements. The hugely talented and versatile Festival Company bring it to life with verve and panache.The Company are under the Direction and Choreography of Sarah Redmond and Musical Direction of Stuart Hutchinson whose combined credits include Saddlers Wells, RSC, Theatre Royal Haymarket and West Yorkshire Playhouse; and introducing Assistant Choreographer, Emma Shouksmith.
