Hannah grew up outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and received both her bachelor's degree in applied developmental psychology and master's degree in instruction and learning from the University of Pittsburgh. She began her teaching career at the Environmental Charter School and co-taught 1st grade literacy as a Special Education teacher from 2015 - 2017. Hannah then moved to Los Angeles where she joined KIPP SoCal Public Schools. She taught as an RSP teacher at KIPP Vida Preparatory Academy in South LA from 2017 - 2018 before deciding to help found the first KIPP school in Compton, California. At KIPP Compton Community School, Hannah was the Lead Education Specialist from 2018 - 2019, the Founding Special Education Manager from 2019 - 2020, a Founding Dean from 2020 - 2021, and the Founding Assistant School Leader from 2021 - 2023. Hannah moved back to Pittsburgh in 2023, and is excited to join the Environmental Charter School Community once again as the Curriculum and Professional Development Associate Director (Literacy K-5). Hannah chooses to teach and lead because she believes all students deserve access to joyful and rigorous education in an environment where they feel seen and loved every day.
