I am focused on advancing environmental separation technologies to achieve sustainable development goals. Key research areas include carbon capture, resource recovery from wastewater, and sensors for environmental contaminants. I am currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Chemical Engineering department at Stanford University (advised by William Tarpeh). I received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech (advised by Ryan Lively and Matthew Realff). My research experience is unique due to its intersection of material design, characterization, technoeconomic & process modeling, and sustainable development. While obtaining my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I gained exposure to the manufacturing industry through a process engineering internship with Scholle IPN. I also conducted research under Paul Kenis and Andrew Gewirth on the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to value-added chemicals and fuels in flow cells.
