Air Traffic Controller
CurrentInflight (IF). Position duties may include, but are not limited to, handling routine aircraft contacts, including SVFR, and relaying IFR clearances; coordinating flight information with other facilities; relaying flight information via Service F; soliciting and disseminating PIREPs; suspending active inbound flight plans until canceled; initiating SAR on overdue aircraft; performing Local Airport Advisory duties; providing emergency services to aircraft as required; flight progress strip marking: ADIZ requirements and DVFR flight plan format.Preflight (PF)/ Flight Data (FD)/ Weather Observation (WO). Position duties may include, but are not limited to, pilot weather briefing; NOTAM preparation and distribution; weather observer duties (must have valid weather observation certificate) preparation and dissemination of weather and/or General Facility Messages; monitoring and other associated flight data duties as required; daily traffic count data collection and submission; perform OASIS GDS upgrades. This position is commonly combined with Inflight (IF). Specialists assigned to this position must perform other duties while coordinating with other specialists on duty.
