I had the opportunity to work in the Co-Operative Bank as a summer intern. This role appealed to me because of the company's ethical credentials and also because of the wide range of business areas I could improve my skills in. I particularly enjoyed learning about the change management strategy in place on the Bank's recovery process from the financial crisis, and about how doing business ethically can still be profitable, which are areas of key interest for me within my studies. I got the opportunity to work in a team both in the Glasgow office and the regional Edinburgh office, and to deliver real applications to be assessed by the Risk Management team in Manchester.

I serve in the technical support team for the National Parent Forum Scotland, an organisation which provides a bridge between parents and educators/the government. I attend their conferences to sort technical issues and answer questions, and to educate the members on how to effectively use social media to help them in their position. Furthermore, I am also in constant contact with NPFS members via the organisation's technical support email to answer any queries they have outside of the annual conference.
