Research assistant at the Public Health Institute in the Violence and Nightlife team; working with local, national and international partners. I have been involved in and supported different aspects of project development and implementation, including project planning, ethical applications, data collection, data input, statistical analysis, interpreting findings and writing up of results. The research methods used have ranged from focus groups, interviews, surveys (face to face and telephone), observational research, and systematic literature reviews. I am able to communicate effectively as part of time, manage and work towards tight deadlines, solve problems and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. My research interests include health inequality, the influence of social determinants on health and issues around gender and health, including domestic violence, maternal health and sexual harassment.

Working with at-risk clients and adults with a range of dis/abilities to support them in making healthy lifestyle choices, by employing a wide range of public health skills in order to engage clients to around their own health goals.
