I am a recent Summa Cum Laude graduate from Shippensburg University where I studied English with a concentration in Creative and Professional Writing. I additionally studied History and Women's and Gender Studies. In my time at Shippensburg, I was an editor for several creative and academic writing journals including The Reflector, Write the Ship, and First Light: The Journal of Exceptional High School Writing. I have also been published numerous times for my poetry, fiction, and academic research throughout my high school and college experiences. Recently, I published my first poetry chapbook, titled "A Space in the Trees" which is a collection that explores the intersections between poetry, politics, nature, and personal experience. Now I am pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at American University, where I will be Editor-in-Chief of Cafe MFA, their literary magazine. I am also seeking employment in the publishing or editing industry while I attend school.
