Research: 1) Rising Star Project: sedimentology and geochronology of Rising Star Cave system in the Cradle of Humankind, South Africa; 2) Sedimentology and geochronology of hominin-bearing rocks in Malawi; 3) Rukwa Rift Basin Project: sedimentology, geochronology, and paleontology in the East African Rift in Tanzania.

At Geology for Global Development, I had the pleasure of leading the Research and Analysis Team, which develops, coordinates, and carries out a program of impact-focused research aligning with GfGD’s Theory of Change. My core responsibilities included managing teams to deliver research; writing and editing research outputs; disseminating research in educational and policy contexts; and developing and implementing tools and policies for delivering ethical, high-quality, impactful research.Geology for Global Development's purpose is to champion the role of geology in sustainable development, mobilising and reshaping the geology community to help deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2015–2030).

I joined the JWJ team in early 2021 with the aim to help JWJ achieve its goal of closing the gender and human resources gap in employment in the water and sanitation sector, essential for helping to ensure access to water and sanitation for all via sustainably and equitably managing water resources.

Hydro-diplomacy for water and peace:I contributed to the team's work to enable water to be used as an instrument for peace-building and cooperation. As a contribution to the Geneva Water Hub's function as a think tank and research center of excellence, I led a research project on "friendship dams" (currently in preparation for publication). I also built and analyzed a database of hydro-diplomacy news stories published in The Water Diplomat to support the work of the Global Observatory on Water and Peace. Additionally, I was a part of a team mentoring a young person on the topic of water and globalization in preparation for their involvement in the Swiss Youth Parliament.

I designed, developed, and delivered STEM-focused programs for high school students across Western Australia. These presentations, events, and programs 1) encouraged and inspired students to study STEM and to pursue STEM-related training / careers; and 2) developed students' capabilities and confidence in STEM.
