Awarded a Fulbright Student Research Grant conducting research on avant-garde painters in Bulgaria who were working under the radar of official doctrine as issued by the Bulgarian Communist Party between 1969 and 1989.

I worked as an office assistant at a dental office for four years, with the last two being remote after I moved to Chicago in 2021. I was tasked with reformatting and and updating a digital archive the office had created for their patients. Patient records and invoices are mainly what I uploaded and updated, learning the software Dentrix to achieve this. Remotely I did fewer hours, many of them being filled in on weekends as I was a student and working at different fabrication shops at SAIC. When I worked at the office on-site, I would go in and work at the reception desk and greet patients before their appointments, dealing with the paperwork required for each visit. I also communicated with the doctor's patients over the phone to confirm and schedule appointments. I also regularly updated the patient ledgers after payments and insurance claims had gone through.

In my last semester I worked as Laura Prieto-Velasco's teaching assistant for her course "Digital Crafting 2.0." I helped her in teaching 15 students and guiding them through different metal fabrication processes, such as cold forming steel and lost wax casting. I regularly assisted in class demos every week, set up the classroom studio before each class and cleaned the studio at the end of the day. I was also tasked with keeping track of student attendance and project progress. I helped to secure material for students, including wax and bronze, as well as performing individualized demonstrations based on a student's project and the skills they needed to learn. I communicated regularly with the professor each week to ensure that the classroom would be prepared and set up, as well as appointments made in the metal shop, as students became more involved with their projects and during the final project timeline.

At the Sullivan Fabrication Studio my primary responsibilities revolved around maintaining the power tools and hand tools in working condition, as well as ensuring that students were working in a safe shop environment. I assisted with different student projects and provided guidance on how to use the shop's facilities to achieve the goal of each student's concept. I quickly learned basic woodworking techniques and applied those according to each student's needs, alternately teaching and guiding. I also worked behind the counter of the tool check-out and kept track of the students working during my shifts. I also received shop assignments such as making new mallets and fabricating new assistive stands for certain machines.

As a shop assistant at the Metal Shop, I worked mainly behind the counter of the tool check-out and assisted in keeping the shop orderly and clean. I would assist students if they were in need of help with their fabrication projects, and would at times do different certifications- primarily with MIG welding - if they were not certified and needed to be. I was also trained in how to fix various machines in the shop, such as the horizontal bandsaw and various MIG welding equipment. I regularly communicated with the managers about the shop environment and would be ready to help with any issues that arose. While working at the shops, I also learned to forge, cold-form steel, and weld as I worked on my artistic practice through opportunities presented at the shop.

Though I only worked for the summer, I was able to organize the gallery's digital archive and website. It consisted of press releases, artist dossiers, and ledgers for each artist's work that had been sold. I also worked on compiling artist folders and art fair applications, such as Spring Break Art Fair in New York City and the Hamptons Art Fair in Southampton, NY. I also worked on-site, greeting visitors to the gallery and directing them to a salesperson if they expressed interest in buying work.
