In 2018, Ms. Koval was a participant in the Spring Disney College Program where she worked in the Food and Beverage Department at Magic Kingdom. During that time, I found her to be a very talent, highly capable member of our staff with many fine qualities, but I would like to concentrate on three that stood out to me and that I believe will distinguish her. First, new employees undergo an extensive training program that teaches them the values of a Walt Disney World Cast member along with understanding the strategies, techniques, and practices that can be best applied to their role. Ms. Koval was one of the most focused trainees I’ve had during my time at Disney and paid rapt attention during my training lectures to ensure she was able to perform at the highest ability. At times, she would take charge in the learn processes and notice that her fellow trainees may be struggling with a task and was always there to offer assistance or a helping hand. I noticed she always remained steadfastly focused even when it was slow and always took initiative to ask questions if something was not particularly clear. Second, her customer service interactions are remarkable. As a Walt Disney World cast member, it is our duty to provide flawless service to our guests and never leave the guest with an unknown answer to their question. Ms. Koval quickly showed through numerous interactions, during and after her training period, that she knew how to answer rigorous guest questions as well as meeting guests needs on a constant basis. One example I would like to bring to your attention is time management. In her position as an Outdoor Vending wagon clerk, it was her responsibility to not only manage the inventory and the appearance of the station, but the rapid change in pace with guests that were coming to purchase from her wagon. On very busy days, lines can form to create a 10-15-minute wait for some customers, which causes other parts of the operation to fail. Under these circumstances, Ms. Koval knew when to call for assistance as well as making sure every guest need was met. Ms. Koval demonstrated that she capable of performing under intense work conditions while still maintaining a positive attitude. Third, Ms. Koval proved to exceed expectations on a day to day basis as she consistently proved to be a top member of our team. Each day, she arrived willing to learn something new or improve her performance. The hot temperatures, difficult guest encounters, and a constantly changing environment were just some of the challenges Ms. Koval had to meet while working at the Magic Kingdom. She is a highly adaptable learner and worker as she proved to overcome any challenges, she faced during her five-month program.
