Provide support and assistance to all Australian officers and their families posted to Tonga on official duties (covering all agencies – Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australian Defence Force (ADF), Australian Border Force (ABF) and Australian Federal Police (AFP).• Developing strategies and carrying out orientation and other programs to assist new arrivals.• Building and maintaining positive relationships with community members• Liaison between all posted officers, spouses and dependants, the post administration and stakeholder organisations as required, for example schools, relocation services, banks.• Collecting, maintaining records, and reporting on information relating to local living conditions.• Identifying and engaging with appropriate stakeholders within the local community.• Assisting all officers, spouses and dependants to address matters of personal concern by facilitating access to resources at post.• Maintaining regular communications with all Australian based team.• Event management – to keep families connected in remote posting.
