I am a currently finalising my PhD in reproductive immunology whilst working as a junior postdoctoral research officer in the Male Reproductive Life Course Group at the University of Adelaide in the school of Biomedicine and the Robinson Research Institute. My post-doctoral research focusses on how factors such as lifestyle can influence the non-genetic cargo carried by sperm, and in turn how this change of cargo delivered by sperm to the embryo at fertilisation impacts ensuing embryo development and lifelong offspring health. My PhD studies undertook in the Reproductive Immunology Laboratory focussed on the early female post-coital immune response to seminal fluid exposure prior to conception.My research interests encompass the adaptions that occur during the onset of pregnancy, how paternal health influences offspring development and health, understanding male fertility and assessing approaches for improving male fertility status as well as the evaluation of novel bio markers of male fertility that may be utilised for fertility diagnostics or functional enhancement of clinical sperm preparations.
