I achieved my BMus in Piano Performance with First Class Honours from Waikato University in 2011, after four years of study under the esteemed NZ pianist and chamber music Katherine Austin. Throughout my years of study at university, I was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including the esteemed Lili Kraus Piano Award and the Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship. My years at university gave me valuable performing experience, both in solo piano performance (including performing Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2 with Opus Orchestra in 2011), chamber music performance, and accompanying. Alongside my study, I was actively involved in piano tuition, and attended numerous masterclasses and tutorials in order to enhance my teaching skills. My long term goal is to establish a busy and successful teaching studio here on the North Shore, by which I can pass on the love of music to another generation.
Listed skills include Piano Education, Solo Piano, Piano Playing, Chamber Music, and 15 others.
