With over 15 years of experience in environmental and social causes, I am passionate about advancing ocean health and conservation through strategic communications, community development, and partnerships. As the Operations Manager at Live Ocean Racing, I lead the operations and logistics of the Live Ocean Racing team, a high-performance sailing program that promotes ocean awareness and action. I also oversee the development and delivery of campaigns and events that engage and inspire diverse audiences to support Live Ocean's mission and vision. Previously, I was the Programme Director at Live Ocean, where I managed the strategic direction, planning, and execution of the organization's programs and initiatives. Before joining Live Ocean, I was the Strategic Partnerships Director at WWF-New Zealand, where I forged and maintained relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate, government, and philanthropic partners, to secure funding and support for WWF's conservation projects. I have a Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, and studied law at the University of Nottingham as part of an exchange program. I have also been a Science Communication Fellow at the Ocean Exploration Trust and a Legal Counsel/Solicitor at Suncorp and Chapman Tripp. I am skilled in marketing communications, strategic communications, and community development, and I enjoy working with diverse and dynamic teams to achieve impactful and positive outcomes for the ocean and the planet.
