I was a part of a small team of technicians who surveyed the Chilliwack River for Chinook and Chum carcasses for which we counted and sampled.Tasks included:- Working in and around swift water,- Working in remote areas,- Working in a variety of weather conditions

I and another Conservation Technician assisted with maintenance and management of Ducks Unlimited Canada’s wetlands. We monitored wetlands from 100 Mile House north to Fort St. James, and west from Williams Lake to Tatla Lake.Tasks included:- Hauling large utility trailers,- Driving off-road in 4x4 trucks, UTVs and ATVs,- Working in remote areas,- Operating chainsaws,- Conducting Dam Safety Inspections,- Working in and around water,- Conducting waterfowl surveys,- Using GIS software, and GPS technology, and- Working in extreme temperatures and weather conditions

I worked in a team with 7 other Team Leads where I was involved in restoring salmon habitat in Surrey, with a focus on removing invasive plant species. Tasks included:- Removing of invasive plants,- Working in a team environment,- Completing mark-recapture methods of coho salmon in Surrey’s streams using Gee Minnow traps,- Interviewing and hiring of junior Team Members,- Training, leading, and working with junior Team Members, - Constructing Newbury weirs in small streams, and- Completing a fish salvage.
