I am a motivated and curious student at the University of Virginia, pursuing dual degrees in Global Public Health and Biochemistry. I am also a Questbridge Scholar, a prestigious scholarship program that supports low-income students of all backgrounds in the United States. As a Library Circulation Assistant at UVA, I provide excellent customer service, handle library materials, and assist patrons with their information needs. I have developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills through this role.In addition, I am an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Petri Labs, a leading research group in the field of infectious diseases at the UVA School of Medicine. I have been working on a project that aims to identify biomarkers that prevent reinfection by cryptosporidium, a parasite that causes diarrheal disease in children in developing countries. I have gained valuable experience in data analysis using R, laboratory techniques such as ELISA, and scientific writing and presentation. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to address global health challenges and contribute to the advancement of science.
