I started out just as a general supermarket assistant whilst studying for my A levels. Within a year I got trained on every area in the customer service department including the service counters, welcome desk, coffee shop and also as a delivery driver to help me progress as much as I can. I then progressed to a supervisor for the checkouts where I ran the line and managed all the staff and any problems on my shifts. I then took on the Team Leader course where I then got a lot more responsibility and helped manage a group of around 100 people. I then also went on to become the main branch planner. This involved planning for the whole branch using their availability and making sure every area and task were covered. I did a lot of inputting holidays and sickness and making sure we still had enough cover to support the branch. I also got involved with the recruitment side of things and worked closely with my Personnel manager by creating new starter evenings and inductions.
