The 5 pathways to nature connectedness is a strong theme throughout this project, and we are exploring how we can bring in creativity and the arts to bring a more holistic approach to engaging people with nature. -

Ongoing tasks included general estate maintenance, liaising with the Estate owner and local landowners, assisting with visitors and processing wood for the biomass boiler.An earlier seasonal role was extremely varied but consisted mainly of assisting with management and upkeep of the estate in general including woodlands, and six holiday cottages. I acted as wildlife ranger and carried out a tree planting scheme in which guests plant a tree as part of a carbon offsetting scheme. Tasks included preparation of the estate for the Green Tourism Business Scheme Award Inspection, managing occasional volunteers, networking and corresponding with local landowners.
