I develop flagship projects and funding proposals for Principle gifts to the University from alumni, philanthropists, companies and significant trusts and foundations in the UK and internationally, as part of our £60m 'The Future Says Surrey' Campaign.

I contributed to philanthropic fundraising within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, by building and strengthening partnerships with alumni and trusts and foundations to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts to fund research and student support.

Working within a very small, close-knit team based in the UK and Colombia, my main responsibilities were:- Raising and reporting on funds from Trusts and Foundations - Supporting partner selection and project development & monitoring processes- Impact reporting- Managing the organisation-wide communications plan- Writing programme-related communications and fundraising content for website, appeals, newsletters and more

In my first role at CCC, my work centred on:- Responding to donor enquiries- Managing and creating content for social media channels- Coordinating online and direct mail fundraising campaigns - newsletters, Christmas Appeals, Radio 4 Appeal.- Developing and coordinating 'individuals' fundraising campaigns, including a successful regular giving upgrade campaign- Managing the process of setting up and running a new fundraising database- Donation processing and reconciliation (batching etc.) using donor relations databases (Access & CiviCRM)- Supporting with coordination and promotion of community and events fundraising

In this fixed-term temporary role, I was responsible for responding to front line alumni and supporter communications and requests, processing event bookings and payments and supporting the delivery of the annual alumni reunion week.

In this temporary, fixed-term role I was a key member of the Peru-based office, responsible for:- Volunteer recruitment- Volunteer support: inductions, evaluations, support meetings.- Liaising with local partner organisations and accommodation providers on volunteer welfare issues- General office administration- Fundraising event organising- English/Spanish translation and interpretation

This one-year placement was for the required 'Year Abroad' for the Spanish aspect of my undergraduate joint honours degree. I independently planned and organised the four school placements.
