Canterbury DHB Project SEARCH is a business led internship for high school leavers aged 18 to 21 years old who have learning disabilities, and who want to enter the workforce.The total immersion one year internship is designed to give students marketable work experience and skills to compete for a job in their chosen field.Find out more here: https://www.projectsearch.nz/

I work as part of a multidisciplinary, multiagency team supporting a cluster of 5 primary and intermediate schools in Christchurch with the mental wellbeing of the children. This wellbeing initiative was a 3 year pilot introduced in responce to the christchurch earthquakes. I work with children individually, in groups, I support the significant adults in their lives and share good practice as an early intervention approach.

A part time position giving me a great grounding in all things New Zealand and Christchurch in particular. Excellent support and training. Plus the opportunity to reconnect with my love of working with children running weekly craft groups. I developed the concept of sensory story times for autstic children a first for australasia. And worked on the children's floor during the initial period of the new central library Turanga.

I support my team to achieve their personal goals and aspirations through the health and wellness sector. My global team currently spans 3 countries all with a variety of specialisms and skills set. Forever Living aloe vera health and wellness products are market leaders and have a range of products to suit everyone including, beauty, fitness, weight management, and animal care.

I was self employed and often took on private commission work but was also contracted by a localte charity SLATE Leeds. My role was more of a marketing and training role as I was responsible for the new retail venture within their café for the charity. I was responsible for not only the presentation of the café but also working with adults with learning difficulties, organising events and delivering training to adults how to up cycle with the aim of reducing landfill.

Working as part of a small team I supported the training needs and requirements of around 500 professionals who work with young people, including youth workers and Connexions workers. Arranging training sessions and delivering sessions, I was a trainer for Leeds Inter Agency Project which worked on the subject of domestic abuse. Carrying out regular needs analysis across the 150 Connexions PA’s in Leeds, I co-ordinate shared West Yorkshire and Leeds based training, provide a variety of events, develop partnerships and respond effectively to local needs.
