The Peer Academic Leadership (PAL) Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) is a peer mentorship program that serves all of the freshman enrolled at UMKC, provisionally admitted students, students on academic probation, and students who scholarships require their participation in the program. As a PAL mentor with a case load of approximately 20-25 students, my primary responsibilities include:Working summer freshman orientations where I met with hundreds of new studentsConnect students with on campus resourcesHost campus wide workshops on a variety of topicsMeet 1-on-1 with my case load of students to provide them with supportCollaborate with program leadership to manage day-to-day responsibilitiesLead 1-on-1 meetings with PAL mentors to discuss performance reports and provide constructive feedback
