    WMD Awareness gives young adults in Britain a voice in the debate on nuclear weapons. I was responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy aimed at raising awareness to 18-35 year olds and getting them involved in our work. I secured £200,000 in funding in 2014-15 to deliver this strategy, including:- Developing the national Talking Trident campaign reaching more than 150,000 people on social media on launch day and many more through articles in The Guardian and interviews on BBC and LBC Radio.- Inspiring a team of 30 young people to become WMD Awareness Ambassadors; training them in campaigning, film-making, blogging, social media and events management; providing opportunities for them to use their skills including blogs published in The Huffington Post and organising spoken word and film nights. - Managing our presence at UK festivals such as Bestival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival and interviewing decision-makers, campaigners and celebrities including Marcus Brigstocke, Ian McEwan, Mark Thomas, Patrick Monahan, Natalie Bennett and Bill Kidd MSP. - Managing our online presence including a blog sharing our Ambassador community's opinion pieces, a Facebook group for the community to share thoughts and ideas and social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and a YouTube channel showcasing young people's views on nuclear weapons.- Responsible for recruiting and line managing the Communications Assistant and Communications Intern including regular one-to-ones and an annual review.
