Create secure working relationships with all levels including consultants, hospital doctors, department leads and administrators in order to generate future meetings. Keep meticulous records to maximise conversion.

Field Based

Recruit and retain medical students and foundation doctors within my allocated territory. For recruitment: foster working relationships with notable students, doctors and faculties so we can work together long term and discover opportunities for meetings. Meetings include freshers fayres, medical student graduation events, foundation doctor inductions and foundation doctor teaching. Retention is an ongoing process which is achieved by leaving positive lasting impacts on our members through excellent customer service and knowledge. Arrange meetings around touch points at certain times of the year where a member may be more likely to leave The MDU, to encourage the member to remain. Follow up with prospective members and keep meticulous records of those already in membership so every member has a positive experience during their time with The MDU.

For this position it was my responsibility to source and recruit over 200 volunteers for the Ramathon event, organise training for volunteers, maintain contact and updating volunteers, distribute resources such as high visibility vests, support online communication through social media and emails, collate database information pre and post race, and organise and place volunteers on race day where needed.

In this role I was allocated short term placements in Primary schools around Derby to cover classes, acting as the class teacher or teaching assistant where required. I took on a variety of roles including working on a one-to-one basis, supporting the needs of individuals in schools; acting as teaching assistant in the class, supporting the class teacher and helping to differentiate for the children and scaffold their learning; and working as the class teacher in a variety of year groups within EYFS and Primary, being responsible for the learning of the children in a range of subjects including maths and English.

Derby And Northampton

My responsibilities included handling money, managing customer queries and complaints, organising and filling stock, moving and tidying stock to maximise sales, and delivering excellent customer service especially on the refunds and exchanges desk.

Derby

I worked on NCS for 8 weeks this summer. I led two different teams of young people through a variety of team building exercises, group projects and a social action project complete with fundraising. In total we raised over £800 for Derby Women's Centre and Next Step. My role was to facilitate the group work in a productive way and maintain the teams motivation through the social action project.

During my time as a supply teaching assistant I assisted the teacher in the managing and organising of the class, managed behaviour of students, facilitated learning, differentiated tasks and supported additional supervising duties.

This was a 4 week role, leading a team of 15 16 year olds during the build-up to and a completion of a community project. I facilitated the participants in planning and completing of fundraising events and organised the team to enable them to plan and communicate the most effectively. In total, we raised over £1000 for Derventio Housing Trust.
