"The FarmHer Communications Intern will have the opportunity to support all aspects of thebusiness with an emphasis in marketing and communications. As the farm broadcasting intern for The Rural Radio Network/KRVN 880 AM in Lexington, Nebraska. I am giving the daily closing market report and weekly crop progress updates. Other responsibilities are updating the website and social media platforms with relevant content and shoot, produce and edit videos. Additionally, I schedule, record, edit, produce and air interviews.

-Collaborated with National FFA Staff, Newsroom Staff and Interns, and the National Association of Farm- Broadcaster to develop stories and broadcast for the 90th National FFA Convention- Interview award winners, guest speakers, sponsors FFA members, and other dignitaries throughoutconventions to be used for radio reports and press releases- Complied and shared stories on www.FFAconvention.com

For two years, I have worked in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Dean’s Office at the UNL. I have a wide range of duties that have included creating posters promoting campus events, designing invitations sent to alumni and creating any other visual media when needed.

The summer of 2016 and spring of 2017, I interned for the Director of Public Relations in the Office of Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts. My daily task was to monitor social media outlets on a local, regional and national level and compile mentions and tags of the Governor to create a daily report. I drafted letters, assisted with media at weekly press conferences and individually called news outlets to notify them about the Governor’s travel. During National Ag Week, I created all the social media posts and graphics related to agriculture for the Governor’s Facebook page of over 18,000 and Twitter page with over 8,000 followers.
