The World Needs More Love Letters is an organization that uses social media to fuel the writing and mailing of handwritten notes to people in need around the world.Today, I manage a team of twelve love letter writers who respond to requests from all over while working with campus groups, grade school classes and various clubs to coordinate Love Letter Bundles for people in need.To date, More Love Letters has mailed over 11,000 love letters. We are active in all 50 states, 48 countries, and over 100 college campuses. Most recently, More Love Letters partnered officially with the U.S. Postal Service to release the 40th edition of their Forever Love stamp.

She's the First is a nonprofit that seeks to provide girls in over 12 countries with access to primary education by encouraging young people to utilize their social networks to fund raise and sponsor girls' education.As the Director of She's the First's National Poetry Month, I am responsible for collaborating with the founder and Poetry Team to develop a month-long fundraising campaign centered on multiculturalism, poetry, art expression and social media. As a She's the First researcher, I was responsible for establishing and maintaining progressive relationships with She's the First partnered schools through conducting quarterly reports and research. I managed both the relations with our schools in Indonesia and Tanzania.

Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world.As the Communications Associate, my responsibilities included monitoring media relations and coverage, writing and distributing press releases and media advisories, responding to the media during states of emergency, and managing the media and communications interns within the department.

The Tolentine Zeiser Community Life Center, located in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx, provides services to over 2,000 daily, from immigration certification classes to childcare.My duties as the Social Media Coordinator included a redesign of the TZCLC website, managing the TZCLC social media accounts, writing and producing a 2011 Annual Review, and guiding the Director of TZCLC through an identity and branding process for the nonprofit.

In my role as liaison, I spent nine months as the New York City representative at the United Nations for Augustinians International, a human rights non-governmental organization seeking to spread awareness of economic and social development to the global Order.My roles included writing and editing the Augustinians at the UN newsletters, attending weekly seminars and briefings, managing various social media accounts, creating the NGOs website, and building up presence among the NGO community at the United Nations Headquarters. I am a member of the UNICEF Working Group on Girls and the NGO Committee for the Commission on the Status of Women. I played a major role in planning the 2011 Girls Stand Up! Orientation Day, bringing over 250 girl delegates from across the globe to the 55th Commission on the Status of Women Conference in New York City to advocate on behalf of girl children everywhere.

As an intern for Pita Communications, a branding agency in Rocky Hill, CT, I wrote, researched and circulated press releases for Union Savings Bank, Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism and The Hartford Children's Theatre. I researched and wrote profiles for the AETNA Hispanic and African-American Calendar 2009 & 2010 I also created a social media database for the company with up-to-date information on innovative and upcoming forms of social media to use when pitching to clients.

My position as a News Intern for the Worcester T&G gave me the opportunity to publish over 12 front-page stories, feature articles, common interest pieces and Man on the Street editions. I made contacts, researched, wrote, and revised all of my pieces along with making establishing communication and scheduling with the photographers.
