Leading on the business development for an innovative new falls prevention device - Bide. 1 in 2 over 80's fall each year with 20% of falls occurring at night. Bide is one of the only devices available in the market that aims to protect people at the point they are most at risk. 50% of those who fall and are on the floor for more than an hour will be dead within 6 months. Responsible for private revenue generation within KIMS Hospital through the development and implementation of the Hospital's revenue strategy. This has lead to an increase in revenue from £8.6m in year one, to a year six revenue of £33.5 and moving to a state of sustainable profitability. Leading on the consultant relationship management of over 250 consultants including the new integration of the IR35 regulations (prior to the announced delays) and the Medical Practitioners Assurance Framework. Involved in two Care Quality Commission inspections including being interviewed on consultant management and assurance for practicing privileges. Instigating and leading on a programme to improve the assurance on consultants scope of practice, which will be one of the first in the UK to be implemented. Management of a budget with both revenue generation and a cost base, including flexing bank staff to ensure services are covered and expenses controlled. Successfully coached an aspiring team leader and coached a Deputy Manager to increase their skill awareness and confidence

Part of the initial due diligence team assessing the financial viability of purchasing Sevenoaks Medical Centre. Developing the business case and budget documents required to gain investor sign off. Part of the programme board and leading the operational team to get the site open, operational and safe for patients, including CQC approval. Instigating a staff change management programme to embed the team into the KIMS Hospital 'One Team'. Responsible for the Centre's capacity management and operational systems that will maximise revenue opportunities and developing the pipeline of new services. Working with the Registered Manager and the CQC to ensure that the site is compliant and responsible for developing and implementing the risk register and all policies, procedures and governance processes.

Responsible for the growth of private activity throughout the hospital. Through the development of existing specialties and being able to see opportunities to starting new services. Working closely with the operational and clinical teams to set up viable projects that are financially successful. Relationship management of the consultant body and actively working with consultants to develop their practice.

Part of the small start-up team responsible for getting KIMS Hospital operational for an opening date of April 2014. To attract and build relationships with consultants in key specialty areas to work at KIMS Hospital. The development of new services, working closely with consultants and operational areas to ensure viable services that were of high clinical quality. Involved in setting up the processes for many of the sales functions including pricing, call handling and conversions strategy. Growth of private revenue from the ground up in a market without any pre-existing brand awareness, performance history or relationships.
