Hello! I'm Hannah. I'm a co-founder of Scarf, and before working in the NFP space I was a hospitality professional for over ten years. I completed a Bachelor of Multimedia (Media Studies) at Swinburne University in 2009, and dabbled in freelance writing whilst working in front-of-house roles at some great Melbourne venues. Around that time, I started taking on various volunteer roles within the refugee community in Melbourne and developed a keen interest in social justice and the role social enterprise can play in addressing inequity. In 2010, I co-founded Scarf, a hospitality social enterprise which gets young people facing barriers to work into great jobs. My experience in hospitality, multimedia, communications and social justice issues make me well-placed to lead the Scarf team in providing meaningful opportunities to young people seeking protection and those from refugee and migrant backgrounds, and continue to grow our social impact.
