“I am pretty great at soldering” was the only skill I had listed when applying for my first internship. My boss had said although I did not have any previous exposure to the industry, I showed ambition to learn. Now currently in a graduate program studying Mechanical Engineering, that motivation has not waivered. Interning with the DoD since high school, I have gained valuable skills that allow me to be versatile and take initiative daily. I especially excel in accelerated environments and in team orientations. As I progress further into my career, I hope to continue my exposure to the industry. Mechanical Engineering encompasses numerously diverse tasking and operations. Because of this and my varying interests, I welcome contrasting projects and positions to further develop my niche.
